OLS26 Details

As You Wish was a huge success. Seventy entries, and all amazing!

"Inconceivable!"

Thanks so much to everyone who made the April One-Layer Simplicity Challenge so fun. The members of the DT have selected their favorite little details from the entries that caught their eye to spotlight in this post. After all, it's the little details that make clean-and-simple, one-layer cards special!

If yours is one of our highlighted cards, grab this badge to display proudly on your blog!

Susan's Details

Sandie used a high-impact complementary color scheme and a perfectly-placed visual triangle to generate energy perfect for her theme.

Darnell spritzed her way to watercolor softness and then contrasted that with a crisp, clean sentiment and straight-line scoring. The effect is so pretty!

Karen's monochrome beauty has a sweet glittery heart that adds just the perfect subtle detail.

Kim's white embossing on the aqua cardstock is delightfully enhanced by monochromatic shading and shimmer from Wink of Stella.

Poojo created such a pretty card using a stencil monoprint technique.

Maria F created this fun and happy card....love the variation of colour in each circle.

Rahmat's card is so pretty...love the layering and the fresh colours of Spring.

Melissa's card is gorgeous...love the way she stenciled the flower and the strong, bright colours she achieved.

Heather's Details

I love the way Flo has used an intricate stamp but kept the design clean and vibrant with a wide white border.

Ksenija has masked her floral card to draw us in and suggest possibly a whole wreath of flowers. So clever.

Buffy's collage on a one layer card is so effective. She has left oodles of white space but her primary colour scheme is bold and eye catching

Ardyth's Details

Shirley's colourful feathers have a light and airy and definitely whimsical feeling!

Carol's use of black and white with small pops of colour makes this card crisp and beautiful!

Greta used sponging and heat embossing to add depth and dimension to her festively frosty one-layer card!
